Wild Rice Soup

1 C. uncooked wild rice
2 cans cream of potato soup
1 lb bacon
1 med. onion
2 pints of 1/2 & 1/2
1 lb cheese

Cook rice as directed. Fry bacon, cool, crumble. Pour out some of bacon grease. Chop onion and cook in remaining grease. Combine soup, 1/2 & 1/2. Add rice, bacon and onion. Add cheese and cook until melted.

(I leave out the onion.)
